Call For Art: Opportunity for Artist Caregivers

Those Who Tend will be presented at Warnes Contemporary in Brooklyn on April 24, 2025, running for six to eight weeks. The exhibition will be promoted through Visionary Art Collective, Warnes Contemporary, and the Artist/Mother Podcast, with select artists featured in exclusive interviews and in New Visionary Magazine.

Artists who identify as parents and caregivers based in the United States are welcome to apply. We invite artists of all career levels to submit their work.

This exhibition is curated by Kaylan Buteyn, artist, curator, and founder of the Artist/Mother Podcast and Kinhouse Artist Residency. Buteyn’s work explores generational care through various mediums, and she organizes exhibitions, critique programs, and retreats for artists.

New Visionary Magazine, Issue 13: The Women's Issue

Submissions are OPEN for Issue 13 of New Visionary Magazine, our annual women’s issue! Selected artists will receive a 2-page spread, which includes a Q&A and multiple images of their artwork. This international opportunity is open to women artists of all experience levels. There is no specific theme for this issue, and we are seeking a diverse range of artwork to feature.

Issue 13 will be curated by Erin Schuppert, Director of Affordable Art Fair NYC. Erin became the Director in January 2022, after nearly a decade in the auction and blue-chip gallery world. The fair hosts over 75 galleries and 400 artists annually across two editions. Erin is committed to supporting the local arts ecosystem and established the Fellowship Program, which provides emerging galleries with a platform to exhibit for free. She holds a BA in Art History from Boston University and an MA in Museum Studies from NYU.
